The majority of us do not do enough exercise to maintain our fitness. ![]() The commonest form of exercise that we report doing regularly is walking. Less that 10% of individuals regularly go running. tt
While walking is beneficial for those with a pre-existing illness such a heart or lung disease, for most middle -aged adults it has very little impact on fitness. To improve fitness you must stress the cardiovascular system; which is why you should run.
