Walk or run?
The majority of us do not do enough exercise to maintain our fitness.
The commonest form of exercise that we report doing regularly is walking. Less that 10% of individuals regularly go running.

While walking is beneficial for those with a pre-existing illness such a heart or lung disease, for most middle -aged adults it has very little impact on fitness.

To improve fitness  you must stress the cardiovascular system; which is why you should run.
