Dr Tingate established a number of lasting research partnerships between Australian and United States Universities, including the Life sciences Division of NASA. His research findings remain fundamentally important to a successful manned mission to Mars.

Dr Tingate has consulted for a number of major Medical Research organisations helping to develop new immune therapies for diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, crohn's disease, psoriasis and Alzheimer's disease. As Executive Medical Director of  Amgen Inc, he helped to develop many of the biotechnology products that will change the way we treat diseases this century.
