The Kirribilli practice has a flexible access system that enables us to accommidate patients with urgent, non-urgent, compex, planned chronic care and preventitative health care needs. Most patients will find the booking system on the website useful and a convenient starting point for initiating a consultation.

Appointments booked via the internet by patients should generally be:

- limited to 15 minutes for single issues/problems or an initial orientation visit to "join" the practice

- 30 minute consultations better suit patients with multiple issues (2 or more)

- 45 minutes consultations may be needed for complex medical problems and counselling sessions

Health reviews are availbale and can be booked for

- 15 minutes

- 30 minutes

- 45 minutes

-60 minutes

If you have an urgent issue and an immediate booking time is not available you should attend the clinic and your condition will be evaluated and prioritized as necessary.

Patients without access to the internet or not wishing to schedule their own appointment can attend the clinic at anytime during opening hours. Appointments will be offered or patients can wait until the doctor is free.

Generally appointments will not be made for patients by SMS or email or by leaving a phone message.

URGENT ISSUES AND EMERGENCIES POLICY

In an emergency you should call 000 and ask for Ambulance.

If your matter is urgent:

  1. You should attend the practice as soon as possible and make Dr Tingate aware of your issue
  2. Urgent medical matters will be prioritized ahead of patients with appointments

The nature of medical care requires urgent issues to be prioritized ahead of booked or scheduled visits. It is a policy of the practice to attend to the most urgent patients immediately and patients should be aware and make allowence for this possibility.
